Hello EP Softball Parents!
We will be spending time after school on Monday, March 25 focusing on team building and raising money! TeamUp is an online fundraiser with both a donation and a coupon book option and TeamUp will be coming in to work with our athletes in a fun, high energy, team building activity that will also serve as a fundraiser. We are asking you to help your athlete come prepared so they will be able to properly participate and compete for prizes. There will be incentives for efforts and sales. The athletes will need a cell phone to participate.
2 ACTION ITEMS
This will be a fun event and we encourage everyone to participate. Thank you for your support, be sure and be your player's first customer and support us here:

While a good portion of Eden Prairie High School softball players are in Florida improving their skills and enjoying some time in the sun, scrimmages involving nearly two dozen teams from others school are taking place in the Prairie Dome this week to raise money for our program. (Thanks to Jen Bayer for supervising throughout the week!)
As a program, we have a tradition of pursuing fundraising efforts that require as little effort as possible from the players and their parents - no pizzas door-to-door or even popular local business card discount cards.
Continuing that tradition is one final fundraising event on Monday, March 25.
It is called PushSave by TeamUp. After school on Monday, players from the high school will spend one hour texting, calling or emailing family and friends asking them to donate. Players that attend Central Middle School will do the same for an hour when they arrive for practice.
A representative of TeamUp will be on hand to make the event fun, even monitoring funds raised in real time. Players can also earn rewards for their efforts!
All players need to do before Monday is make a list of at least 20 people that they will contact. That's it.
One more quick thing - a parent or guardian, or your daughter needs to sign up for the fundraiser at shop.teamupevent.com.
Thanks and we will see you Monday!

Only a single team will be playing in scrimmages from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, March 16. Participation will be by invitation only. A previous statement that all Florida players will be invited is not necessarily the case. Players will receive an invitation by Thursday.
Schedule for Post-Spring Break
Practices beginning on March 25 will be as follows:
March 25, 27, 28 and 29 - 5:30 to 6:30 Hitting in Wrestling Room (JV and Varsity Only); 6:30-8 p.m. in Dome
Tuesday, March 26 - 4-5 p.m. Hitting in Wrestling Room (JV and Varsity Only); 5-6:30 p.m. in Dome
April 1, 3 and 5 - 7-8 p.m. Hitting in Wrestling Room (JV and Varsity Only); 8-9:30 p.m. in Dome
April 2 and 4 - 3:30-4:45 in Dome; 5-6 p.m. in Hitting in Wrestling Room (JV and Varsity Only)
This schedule could change based on availability of Miller Park. Players will be notified when outdoor practices are available.
The first game of the season in scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6 in the Dome vs. New Ulm.
You can view the entire season schedule under the Events tab.
Softball officially begins tomorrow (Monday). This is tryouts week and everyone will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills. Just have fun and do your best!
Tryouts are for team selection, not for cutting. Nobody will be cut from playing softball. Everyone will be part of Varsity, JV, B or C teams.
This week, we are in the Dome from 6-8 p.m. each night. Tuesday, players need to be ready to go at 5 p.m. We will start with a meeting at 5 p.m. before we go in the Dome. We will let you know the location tomorrow.
We know that 5 and 6 p.m. are not the best times, but we are sharing Dome space with baseball and other sports. The week after Florida, we will likely have a different time.
CMS buses will still take players to the high school after school where they will wait for practice to start. High school players often hang around after school until practice starts. Players who drive often leave campus and return.
Players - remember to wear white t-shirts with your last name and grade printed on both sides in large block letters.
You must be registered to participate, so make sure you have that completed. A link to register is on this page.
Players will be invited to participate in scrimmages Saturday, March 18 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. All Florida players will participate. We will pack up bats and other equipment when we are done.
If you have questions or will miss a tryout day, let a coach know as soon as possible.

Greetings to 2024 Eden Prairie High School Softball players and parents!
The softball PAC meeting is at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 4 in the EPHS South Commons. Come meet our two new C Team coaches, Abby Gee and Lindsay Dvorak. We look forward to seeing all of you there!
The regular meeting will be followed by a meeting for players attending the Florida trip and their parents.
We will be collecting final Florida payments at the meeting. Your $500 deposit and any fundraising earned will be deducted to determine the final payment. We can accept checks payable to “Eden Prairie Softball,” or cash.
If you haven’t done so already, complete the school registration and the registration for the Eden Prairie Fastpitch Association (free) that will add you to our email list so that we can contact you quickly and easily throughout the upcoming season. Links for both registrations are to the right of this post.
Also below are two files for everyone at the PAC meeting (Expectations of Eden Prairie Softball and Parent, Student Athlete Agreement) and another five files for the families and players going on the Florida trip from March 17-24.
Everyone should print the “Parent, Student Athlete Agreement” file. Florida parents need to print the “Trip Permission” and "Florida Medical" forms. Please bring these forms with you to the meeting. You can follow along on your devices as we review the other documents listed below.
We may add more information to this site before the meeting and we will give players a heads-up if we do.
Thanks very much and we will see you March 4.
